New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - what does this mean???

I was trying to parallel park my car and I tried putting my car in reverse and it grinded. I put it in nuetral and put it in reverse again and it grinded again. That was the first and hopefully last time it happened. I drove around the block and I put it reverse again and it seemed fine.. What does that mean??? Need help.. Any suggestions/opinions??

when you come to a complete stop before you put it in reverse put it in 1st gear then go to reverse.

no grinds. I think it has something to do with lining up synchros or something.

same thing happened in my firebird. i preferred 4th then reverse.

do as above, or just try putting the trans in neutral and letting out of the clutch. Then push in the clutch and try reverse again. The gears were probably just having a hard time meshing for some reason.

same as your other thread (exact same.... in the same section...) its bad syncros most likely.
