Why isn't it a good idea? I've seen a ton of people asking about it!
I personally asked someone about it in a PM, and he sent me some info along with this link.
I thought there was a few other people around who wanted to see information about this?
Or am I not understanding your post?

The guy isnt a sponsor so the Admins wont allow posting info about the guy. its been a touchy subject on here. do a search on it. there have been people banned over this.

Is the rule you can only post about parts that the sponsors sell?
Well I'm certainly not looking to get in any trouble over it!
Are there any sponsors who have info about the 8.8?
Honestly, what I found was that for ~$2000 it wasn't that great of a deal compared to the 9"/12 bolts for sale elsewhere.
I was just trying to be helpful because there are more than a few people asking about it.
What I found was enough reason to NOT get one IMO.

if no names are mentioned i don't see why a few basic facts cant be shared...
you can get a complete ready to boltup built 8.8 for ~1700 dollars...there are a few options that add to that price
an 8.8 can be built to handle LOTS of power...more than almost anyone will ever need
now search around for more info on it...i will be going that route in the future...

Personally, I think that people should be able to talk about whatever they want on these forums, regardless of who is a sponsor and who isn't. This is a car forum, for people to talk about cars ... and shouldn't hamper peoples right to free speech just because they are not getting any money from that company.
