well...
the 555R has a treadwear rating of 100 and the regular old 555 has a rating of 300

The test tire's and the Monitoring Tire's wear are measured during and at the conclusion of the test. The tire manufacturers then assign a Treadwear Grade based on the observed wear rates. The Course Monitoring Tire is assigned a grade and the test tire receives a grade indicating its relative treadwear. A grade of 100 would indicate that the tire tread would last as long as the test tire, 200 would indicate the tread would last twice as long, 300 would indicate three times as long, etc.
so i'd guess around 7-8,000 miles on the 555R and 20-25,000 miles on the 555.
then again, people say they get 10,000+ miles on 555r. i think its safe to say the 555 should last 3x as long as the 555R

I have 555s and they're everlasting! I do burnouts and race on them drive on them... They literally last for a very long time and are above decent with respect to traction.

Off hand, I couldn't tell you the miles on my 555s, plenty though for sure. But they've been on for near three years and look as new as the day I got them.

Man I got probably 60,000 miles out of my nittos. They were extremes, and I did not tear the **** out of them. When I took them off they were slicks down to the bone, but for some reason tires last a really long time with me. Maybe it's because I don't change them until it is dangerous?

I also got close to 15k out of mine, maybe 12-13k. I even had a few different trips to the track, and a lot of spirited driving on them. Hell, they could've lasted a little longer, but I had them slightly over-inflated, and the centers wore out faster than the outer part of the tread.

I think you can only get them in a 315/35/17. Here's a couple shots of mine when I first got them on.

I got mine from DiscountTireDirect. It was $340 shipped for the pair. That was the cheapest I found at the time. (Back in December)

i got mine from discounttire.com(a sponsor) and i got about 5k on mine and there still like new.
i have run em at the track a lot and i do a decent burn out each pass(they need a good burn out to heat them up so they will hook)
they have been wearing even and i keep em at about 28 psi for the street and ill go down to 20-22 depending on track conditions.
they do run a bit narrow tho.

I hate mine, I have the 555's I don't like them what so ever. To hard and traction sucks. I have put a lil over 8k and they are still 7- 8/32 of thread.
