Default tr6 plug and colder?(issues)

running a stroker cubed ls1 and faithfully been running a tr6 plug with my n/a and nitrous use with no issues. i recently decided to go over the 200hp setting on my plate and decided to go a few steps colder on plugs as well. went to a ngk racing plug which is 3 steps colder than the tr6 standard plug. i went to a r5724-9 plug stock number 7891. well went to track and car did not like the change on n/a of the plug just wanted to snap and pop all thru at any rpm.. so my question would be has anyone run a 250plus shot of nitrous and what plug are most having the best luck with at that level? i do run race fuel 110 and have been for sometime.. thanks

ngk plug chart

ngk standard
tr5(hot)
tr6(been running .035 gap)
bp7efs

ngk racing
r5724-8
r5724-9(went to.035 gap)
r5724-10(cold)

well looking around i run a dart head that calls for a differant ngk plug a fr5, or bkr6e which is 3/4 reach plug.. well the tr6 and colder stuff are .708 reach, so maybe the reach diff. could have made enuff differnance to get the missing out or weak spark im getting? just got lucky maybe running the tr6 before beacuse it was hot enuff the reach did not effect it. thoughts?

Try the TR7s. That`s a lot of octane for R5724-9 plugs.

Yep, those are the right plugs. Gap them to .035 and she should run good N/A and great on the spray.

guess i was trying to get away from the projected tip as well, when i got the 5724-9 they where less projected than the tr6 but still some there.. went on dart site and it says a totally diff reach plug than the tr6 style by .42.. a gasket style plug i believe have to check some out tomorrow if auto parts has some. what your thoughts on that?

Well the BP7EFS plugs are projected but not nearly as projected as the TR6 plugs. And they work great with LS1 and LS6 heads. Many guys at the track us these plugs with 300hp shots. I use TR6 plugs now with a 175hp wet shot but about about to switch to TR7s and a 200hp shot.

me personally if i were you i would run the tr6 when you run NA and then step up to the 9s when you spray, changing plugs only takes a few minutes

well little longer than a few min lol.. but i should of had the gasket style plugs in.. so just like i was thinking in the tapered style they recommended the r5671a-9 but are the right reach and seat for my heads..(obivious they will take either) but to get away from projected tip this is my best bet..
