Default Which turbo(s) would work best for me?

My buddy and I are trying to build a turbo trans am. were not sure whether we want rear or front mount, single or turbo. most likely, we will be starting out with the kit on a stock block with lower CR heads and a mild cam. but shortly will have a fully forged 383-408 iron block to support the boost. Car will be an m6 and a street car. Not really sure what numbers were set to achieve. Just something well worth all the damn money being tossed into it. We really like the ofi, and 417 tt kits, they just seem like such a pain in the *** moving all that stuff around, none the less changing the plugs. But, if anyone has those, and thinks otherwise, chime in! Would like to have pretty large power on a comfortable street tune, and also be able to crank up the boost for High power if need ever be. All replies are appreciated!!
Thanks

I had a rear mount and it made decent power on stock cubes for almost 3 years. I have then switched to a front mount by KYTP, 370, and over to a th400, truck manifolds and crossover put the turbo right in front of the balancer. A TC78 would be good for the stock cubes and up to roughly 750rwhp +/-. once you go more cubes, a 85 or bigger will get you were you need

For that big of a motor, GT88 would work awesome.

Ok. Thanks 99z. Are there any front mount kits that really stand out in performance, keep ac and allows you to do simple things like spark plug changes?

Im thinking about getting the infamous "ebay kit"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-02...Q5fAccessories

Looking at this one with possibly a 76mm. or a pt88

Would the 88 take too long to spool on a built 346?

Advice is appreciated guys!

there are some good ones coming out, I wont shout out any companies... but just pay attention to the sponsors... they will post up updates of what they're building/making

Not wanting to move thngs around really limits you on what to do before I read that I was gonna say go for Aps twins, rearmounts limit you on what turbo and size but a lil fab work for support and a watts (i rmmbr if that was it)phb would enable you to put whatever you want back there. Twins are really good on spool also but there are a lot of bad *** single turbo kits out there. How well are you able to control yourself with a lot of power on the street 'cause I am not so good I thank my lucky stars that I don't get a ticket everyday

haha i hear you on the control on the streets. You would recommend aps twins still after all thats gone on? And why not the ebay kit? I see guys on here with that kit doin pretty darn good and havent heard anything really bad about it. I would be willing to move things around for fitment, as long as its nothing real big. I live in the desert, so ditching the a/c is out of the question

I have the ebay kit, it causes you to change out a bunch of **** to avoid melting this and that. It works but its a bitch. Id talk to Josh at Kentucky Turbo and also Modular Turbo is working on a kit also.

I hear you about that a lot of people talk about the turbos failing but after upgrading them people really have no complaints sad thing is I have seen the upgrade up all the way to 2+grand. The Ebay kit has been working for a lot of people but I think they are limited to the size of the turbo also but it is something to start off with. I know KYTP comes with the brackets needed for install lol looked at it today.
