Default Car running hot

How hot is your c5 running also give details of combo and cooling equipment. Mine has been running hot like 220 i have a 160 thermostat and fans to come on at 158* i have a built motor with the stock radiator. Also this is in 85-95* weather.

Austin mine got hot after scraping... I got around 235 but when I got moving she went on back down to 200. Is it consistently running 220 no matter where you are driving?

once it gets up its hard to get it to come down. my new dewitts should be in this week i hope i didnt pop a gasket. I dont think i have but might check it out in texas if radiator doesnt fix it.

Just a tip, in case you haven't checked. Be sure to take a look under the car at the cooling air intake. You may see that your AC condenser is caked with all kinds of junk and seriously limiting your airflow.

These cars are like giant vacumes and if your lowered it's evan worse.

I took a look at mine the other day and the whole top was full of grass and straw and general debris.

yes he is right. I have to blow mine out very month or so or car will run hot.

temps here today 87. car was running 199 coolant and 212 tranny.no trans cooler. turned a/c off and coolant dropped to 187 to 189 trans 201 to203. im running meziere electric waterpump pumps 55gpm well worth the expense imho
