Hmm Chicago or BG.Are the Chicago tracks better than BG?It really does'nt matter to me I'll go to either one. It's a shame that Norwalk or National Trails aren't being considered. They're far nicer facilities than BG.They're both within a 500 mile drive of 65% of the U.S population.Maybe something to think about in the future. Our local car club rents Norwalk twice a year,it would be badass to have an event at one of the best racetracks in the country.

national trail is a nice track, but if the event is held in any kind of heat, there is no place to get in the shade there. the one year that the buick nats moved there from bowling green, it was hot as hell there in june and no way to get away from the heat until you got back to the hotel. we actually rented one of their golf carts to cruise the pits and get some breeze.

Any stats on who participates in the most events? I'll bet it's us Texans. The closer to Texas the better. When is the tentative date? If it is a day's drive from Texas you should get a ton of us.

Voted chicago..be nice to have one that doesn't involve a 16 hr drive one way which has been the minimum for all the events..has kept me and alot of people(that would race!) that i know from coming so far..we just don't have the time or resources to go so far away.
John, please say you're kidding about GLD though. you know as i do that is NOT the place for a huge event, no one will ever want to come out here again after ice skating their way through the 60 foot all day.

Bowling Green is closer for us folks that live in the south.
I'm in south Florida, BG is almost a 20 hour drive when hauling a trailer. Chicago is how many more miles NW of Bowling Green, KY?
I vote for Kentucky.
