Default $850 a good price for heads,cam& header install?

Just wondering if this is a good price to have this installed at a shop.Thanks for the help.Scott

sounds good to me
i got quoted 750 for just heads and cam, so only a $100 more for headers is real good

Do it yourself, the money you'll save will pay for a dyno tune and all the extras that will come up and you just gotta have.

And sometimes a actually consider paying someone to work on my stuff. 850 :O

And here I am rebuilding engines for 350-500

It's a excellent price if the installer has a proven track record working on LS1's.

i just bought a couple hundred dollars worth of tools and supplies and did my on head, cam, LT install . even beyond saving the money from doing it yourself you gain knowlege and know-how that you cant put a price on .

I don't charge anywhere near that, but I don't have overhead like a shop does. Agree on above though, doing it yourself will teach you a lot. Check this site:

That's a good price.I charge around $900-$1000 for the install at my shop.
