New Edelbrock Gen 3 Cathedral Intake #7140 & 71403
Starting this in a new post continued from the original mega thread New Edelbrock LSx intake at SEMA thread. This is an update to the original 7139 Pro-Flo XT intake released by Edelbrock several months ago.
Acting on feedback from guys who've installed the original tunnel ram styled intake some changes have been made. Most of the changes have been made to the throttle body flange area.
1) The 75mm/90mm dual bolt pattern flange has been replaced with GM's 90mm LS2 4 bolt pattern.
2) They've removed the extended ear at the top of the flange since the 3 bolt flange pattern has been eliminated. (This should create a little more hood clearance for some tight fitting applications).
3) Added provision for a 90mm ttb O-ring seal.
4) Added extra clearance to accommodate larger diameter injector bodies. They're working on a more permanent solution for the fitting different length injectors to the fuel rails but that change will take some additional time and will not be included on this next production run of intakes AFIK.
These intakes are geared towards LS2 throttle equipment and are thus considered an "LS2" manifold. It will bear a different part number than the original intake. The new number is 7140 for the plain style intake and 71403 for the black powder coated version.
We will be receiving a very limited number of the newer LS2 manifolds from the current production run (all in black). Unfortunately we can not accept advanced orders. I've been told intakes will become available within the next two weeks and we'll begin selling our intakes after they arrive.

Small Clarification
The original LS1 XT PN 7139 and 71393's are still in production. The 7140 is an additional manifold.
Neither will fit in an F-body without some major effort, for example cutting the cowl, eliminating the wiper motor, and lowering the engine. The manifold was designed to be an integral part of our Pro Flo XT EFI system for people installing LS1's in early vehicles. It also makes great horsepower so it will find a home on race cars. It's just not for bolt on emissions legal applications.

We can hand match port these intakes at this time. Eventually we'll get around to developing a CNC program for it.
