Default What is a Good Harness?

Looking for recommendations on a good 5 point harness. I do not yet have a cage and won't have one for another year or so probably. I am looking for a good harness. I have been looking at the G Force 5 point camlocks. The seats will also be stock for awhile in my 02 SS. Any input is welcome!

Thanks,

Jeff

You really shouldn't install harnesses unless you have a bar of some type to mount the harnesses to.

That being said, if you want to drag race the car, harnesses are only legal for 2 years before expiring. That's why i don't buy the $$$$ camlocks. I just buy the old school latch style. I loved my G-force harnesses, and will probably replace them with another set of the same.

you also need racing seats for the harness to work properly. The factory seats are too high in the back to allow the belts to pull your sholders down. That's why racing seats have the cutouts to allow the belts to pass thru

I run the Impact cam lock harness, with a Corbeau seat and 10 point cage, I had a Simpson cam lock harness before, and it sucks compared to the Impact. Impact products can be sent in for recert, and they will even take old harnesses in for trade in credit, even other brands.

We sell Stroud harness', but you really don't want to put a 5-point in until you have atleast a roll bar, if not a cage.

Stroud here, but don't waste your $$ until you have at least a roll bar and seats.

Well until I do the cage would something like this work as it bolts up to all factory locations? I just want something that offers a little more restraint than the factory belt.

Ok, nevermind it doesn't even appear that Corbeau makes these for an Fbody application.
