Default New guy from England.

Hi. I'm new. I have an FD3S Mazda RX7 that I'll be dropping an LS1/T56 into.

I'm just reading up on performance figures, since I don't want to buy an LS1 and then a year down the line realise that there's no easy way to gain extra power.

An RX7 shop I was at just before said he dyno'd (hub dyno) an ls1 rex at almost 500hp at the hubs. Does that sound even remotely feasible without something like a stroker kit or a horribly narrow powerband?

500hp at the flywheel would be more than enough for me.

Welcome to the forum. Are you wanting 500hp NA or on boost. You can get 500hp NA on stock cubes, but it takes a pretty large cam(with heads and intake manifold along with it obviously). On boost, it's cake.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
I'm in Altrincham, South Manchester.

I was wondering if ~500hp NA was possible. I realise super/turbo charging would give that power easily, but that costs a bit. I suppose I could go with supercharging at a later date if I want to.

I'm originally from Andover

500hp from an LS1 motor is very attainable. Have a look at mast motorsports (www.mastmotorsports.com). They have a few engine packages that are over 500hp.
