Default New APS Upgraded Turbos

I have had these in the works for a while now as some of you are well aware of

http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...oducts_id=2157

Cliffs notes-
New CHRAs, updated Turbine wheel, Billet ~60mm compressor wheel, flow 70lb/min each. This is all Im offering at this point, nothing smaller, no hybrid GT35 stuff, as this wheel blows it in the water.

These have the airflow to support well over 1000 rwhp, which is killer for any off the shelf kit

If you have any questions, feel free to ask

Louis

Do you really think that? That is the price for this:
New CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly)
New Inconel 71x Turbine Wheel with new 2009 technology
Billet Compressor Wheel ( ~ 60mm inducer) that flows ~ 70lb/min
New Compressor Cover machined for new Compressor Wheel
70mm Inlet so it bolts RIGHT on, no fab, no fuss, no muss

You bolt it on to your already existing turbo kit, and you tune it.

You can definitely hear them sing nicely at higher pressures

Correct, thank you

This is the turbo upgrade only, the kit is 6-7k, plus these turbos if you want to upgrade from the start, and install depending on tuner is 2500-4k

Do these turbos include an exhaust housing?

No, you reuse your existing custom APS exhaust housings. We would have included one, but its an oddball T3 entry offset housing with special MHI CHRA fitment.

the aps f body twin kit is 8k? I think the question is that installed and tuned. Those kits were originally sold for 5k shipped intro price then went up to 5600 or something like that?

so with these turbos, the kit will probably be capable of making a tad over 1000rwhp, correct? If you plan on upgrading to these turbos anyway, can you just get the cheaper base kit?

These wheels have supported 1075ish at 20lbs on a 427 6 speed with the extreme kit and race gas, and there was room left, at least 2-3 more psi. I was still ~ 15 hp/psi at that point.

The Extreme kit has a larger exhaust housing, which will be necessary at some point, we have just not found it yet on the smaller stuff.

At 850 rwhp, P/Rs were still in check. I will have more data soon.

If you want to go BIG cube, 400+ I suggest the Extreme kit, as you will need the larger exhaust housing for flow. You can then upgrade those, but in reality, the extreme compressor wheels are GT35s, which flow 60-65 lb/min. That will get the job done.

The Extreme kit will need cubic inches though, on a 346, spool time was 1000 rpms later

Whats the recommendation for cubes and rpm range with the base exhaust housings and your upgrades. Im a lil turbo dumb but need to convert my motor from a nitrous setup to a FI setup and want to get it right the first time.

what would I need to do to get the larger exhaust housings? I have a 403 cid engine and feel that I need the larger ones on my setup

Darren as you can see I am running a 408. I think the upgraded 70lbmin should be more than enough for anyone with similar size engine. How the heck do you plan on putting down more than 1000rwhp. Like to know your secret. On the street I find the standard kit at 7.5 lots of power on the built 408 estimate around 600 to 650 rwhp. Thats 700 to 750 engine and thats lots on the street. Well for most people. I admit I like to have more in reserve even if never use it so was thinking to get the 70s and just run lower boost or small shots to maybe hit that magic 1000rwhp number mostly for braggin rights .

I would not run a normal non LSX block continuously at that power level maybe I am just too conservative. I am not sure my 408 iron block can handle 1000rwhp all the time.
Too bad the extreme kit came out after already ordered my standard kit. Oh well.

I am already putting down 76x hp 87x tq at 15PSI on pump gas through a 4L80E but I know that the backpressure is getting pretty high. It will hook because I have the supension for it. It will not be ran at that power level all the time, you would have to have a boat or something to do that. I want to put the power down safely and less backpressure will help do just that.
