Default Newbie tires question?

Could someone please explain the differances between these tires for me ?
slicks, stickies, radials, streets. I know the tread plays a part, and slicks have no tread. What are the differances in the others?

I have been recommended Goodyear GS D3s on a 315/35/17 in the rear for better traction around corners with some use in the rain possable, but not planned. Are these considered stickies?

Thanks for the help.

IMHO . . . Slicks and Stickies are one and the same . . . Dedicated drag race tire can be radial or bias ply. Usually not street legal.

I guess a Sticky could be construde as a road race tire too . . . which would be a radial, and also not street legal.

Radial, I hope that one is self explanitory . . . that is the tire construction.

Street . . . a tire with tread and usually DOT approved.

A Goodyear F1 GS D3? . . . that a is a normal Street Radial Tire . . . Classified as a Maximum Summer Performance Tire.

Thanks for the help Xsta Z 28.

Still a little confused, so a Goodyear F1 GS D3 is a street tire, and not considered a sticky?

Thanks for the help
