Very lightly Mod'ed 01 SS
Hello everyone. Can someone please tell me how the hell I got my 01 Camaro SS Automatic in 44 degree track temp to go 12.768???
Mod's I have are as followed:
SLP CatBack Exhaust
K&N FIPK CAI
Throttle Body Bi-pass
Grinded the throttle body where the linkage stops to get a wider open throttle
Free mod of getting rid of plastic that restricts air into air induction.
Nitto Drag radials in back
Thats about it
Oh 160 Degree tstat with manual fan switch.
Is this a freak production car?
I do believe it has the z06 block since it is dull and I read an article that the dull blocks came from NEMAK and they used the z06 block
Thanks
~Steve~

Thanks guys. I do have to get used to shifting an automatic since all my cars were 4,5, and 6 speeds.
Thanks for the prop's.
Putting in Mac headers and y pipe, and vigilante t.c.
I will post some times when I get them in and get some track time in.
Looking for 12 flat or 11.99

Yeah Mac cats suck.. Going without them.
No need for cat's even though I have a warrenty. Maybe i will buy the cat's down the road for warrenty purposes, but wont put them on till the last second of bringing the car in for work.
Thanks.
And 95 formula.. thats some awesome gains for borla, and lid at the time.
Now you are running some really really good numbers.

Good times...but I'm not that suprised...Especially since its an 01-02...
I have a 98 SS a4...
lid/ftra
!cats/loudmouth
bauer throttle body
ran a 12.86 @ 110 on street tires...so I think a 12.79999 on DR's would be possible...

"...used to shifting an automatic"
And oxymoron? I'd let the PCM do the shifting. If you don't like the shift points (yeah, they're too low stock) then program them higher.
Good times, btw.

yeah it is kinda an oxymoron. But I just cant stand racing and just leaving it in gear. Kinda boring to me. It is even boring shifting an Automatic. I need the clutch!
But thanks everyone. Appreciate the props
