Default Is the 04 GTO Alternator a direct replacement for F-body 98-02 LS1 Alt?

My alternator is on its way out in my LS1 swapped RX7.

Anyone know if the 04 GTO LS1 alternator is physically a direct fit replacement for the 98-02 F-body LS1 Alternator?! It's only ~$15 more.
I know I won't have to hook up anything to the 2-pin connector unless I want a reference voltage to monitor or a dummy light.
Might just go to NAPA today and have them pull both alternators down....looks like it will fit from engine photos I've searched.

Reasons for wanting LS1 GTO Alternator:
1. Self Exciting Regulator
2. 140 amps vs 105 amps of F-body Alt.
