Default Trivia Question

Anyone know a reason why the 93-97 Trans Am Bird appears on the rear panel (in-between the rear lights)? I noticed that other models (Firebird, Formula) have the 98-02 bird on that panel, Just curious...

It was actually on some 79-81 models, don't remember which year or specifics. I have a set in my attic.

Opps let me correct myself, I left some info out sorry bout that... What I meant was why does the early "Firebird" from 93-97 show on the panel in-between the taillights on the late model 98-02 Trans Am's and not the updated version that is on the front license plate cover?

I knew what you were refering to.
Simple answer is We don't have a clue.
Although the `99 30th Anni T/A and `02 Collectors Edition cars do have the late model bird logo on the rear.

I think because the 'Firebird' and the Trans Am bird are different birds.

Maybe?

Some 30th's got a smaller white bird. Weird **** happens in those factories. I am glad they did the white bird & white Trans Am lettering on the 30th's, it looks great.
