I plan on doing a full exhaust system on my 02 WS6. (completely stock) It only has 35k miles on it, so I plan on going with all stainless steel so it will last the life of the car, which is hopefully a long time.

Right now it looks like I will be going as follows: QTP LT headers, American Racing Headers catted Y to a Magnaflow catback.

Since these are all mix matching parts, will they fit together? Does anyone have any idea what kind of sound and flow this will produce? I have checked out a lot on ls1sounds but have not seen this exact combo.

Overall, I would rather go catless to both save some money and optimize power, however I want to keep the noise down...Id also prefer a true dual, but have read that they are very loud and often can create ground clearance problems. Im looking for a very deep and pretty aggressive tone, but just not too loud as this is my daily driver. Any opinions on this build would be appreciated.

Forget them QTP's. You cant beat those American Racing headers if you want the best.

I would get theor ORY and then add a Magnaflow or Hooker catback.

headers have minimal affect on sound...at least from one LT setup to the next.

the MF is a nice mild exhaust. it sound great at idle and around town, but really screams at WOT.
with no cats it will be a bit raspy though.

I wouldn't mix & match the headers & y-pipe. They aren't all
interchangeable. ARH, Kooks, & QTP are all high quality brands.
ARH & Kooks seem to be the best as far as fitment goes.
I would pick one brand & get both the headers & catted
Y-pipe from the same brand.

I have the magnaflow cat-back.
IMO, it is the best exhaust you can buy for the price.

Have had zero issues with my KooKs LT Headers and Catted Y. Quality and Fit are both outstanding. I recently went with a Magnaflow system due to the fact my duals were much to loud. Happy with the Magnaflow quality and fit. Have E cut-outs when I really want to be loud. With them closed the car has a decent rumble and nice inside the car also for music or speaking with somone. WOT it is nasty and healthy.

I would stay with the same make of Y and Header. My .02 cents. Good Luck!

I would take pacesetter lt's and pacesetter Y,
They are among the cheapest, but have grate ground clearens and the do last fine, mine are first starting to rust now, but where fine for 2years, on iceland
