Default Cam spec help

A buddy of mine just received his custom ground cam for a swap we're going to do and he got it with a timing advancement of 2 degrees ground into the cam. On the cam card there is no "+2" anywhere or anything that said that 2 degrees advanced timing were ground into the cam, so we were wondering if they just don't put that on the cam card or if there was any way to be sure they ground the advancement into the cam. Thanks

Then you do have 2 degrees of advance. You could also degree the cam to insure the intake centerline is indeed on 110.

Just degree the cam in to the 110 ICL using a degree wheel and dial indicator and it will have 2 degrees of advancement. Just because a cam has 2 degrees ground into does not insure the that cam will be installed @ +2 degrees. Degree it to put it where you want.
