LQ4 performance upgrade suggestions
I have an 06 lq4 and would like to use it to tow my camper and also 4 wheel a bit. Its in an 88 3/4 ton suburban by the way. I was curious what i should do to get a little more power and torque out of it just for the fun factor mostly but also for towing. I have headers a cold air and a performance tune on it already. Any suggestions or opinions are welcome and appreciated.

LS6 intake, a cam, and head work are all good options to get you more HP, but it sounds like you're more interested in torque, so you may want to run the truck intake and a small cam, and maybe mill the heads and run a sanding roll over the ports to get you a little more compression and a tiny bit of flow without a whole lot of effort.
Of course, you could always do L92 heads and a custom truck-oriented cam or something, but that's not "a little bit". LOL

ok, the turbo thing sounds very intruiging. I have a stock 4l80e, will that handle the power? I want some more power and the turbo sounds good but i don't want tons of power where things get grenaded and blolwn up. How much boost would you reccomend? Would I need to have my ecm tuned for the extra boost or what?

I would look into something like...
214/220 .600/.581 on 112 or lower LSA
Mill your heads down .040 to raise your compression to approx 10:1 and a short duration, high lift cam and you'll have some nice torque numbers.
