ETP 215 or AFR 225 CNC heads... which makes more power???
I am building a stock cube ls1 for a 6 speed GTO.
Just wondering if anyone has done any back to back testing between the two heads with a larger cam like an MS4 or similar??
This will be for a street/strip car.
From what I see, the AFR CNC heads out of the box seems to make more power with higher flow.
Should I sell my AFR 225's and go with the PRC 215's??
Watcha think between the two???

The OP's original question is a moot point. Those two heads like very different camshafts for best results. I've used them both extensively along with (more recently) the TEA/TFS heads. You are comparing 15*, 11* and 13.5* heads. One advantage the AFR has is the ability to bolt on a go with very little fuss. The other two require signifigant knowlege to properly install and setup valve train geometry. Any of these three heads could be used to create a stout H/C combo. Its just a matter of picking the right pieces to work well together. Also, since you already own a set of AFR 225's, You have a great building block to work off of. I have a customer with a set on a 402 pushing deep 9's and about to drop into the 8's with a set of those on a 402, but still there is plenty of potential there.
