a/c help!
so heres the story. my wifes 03 s10's a/c at 1st, would only work for 15 minutes or so then get hot and it seemed like the fan was barely blowing when it was on hi. if you turn the truck off for a bit and start again and it would work for a short time again.
now the fan blows fine but its just hot air. the compressor still kicks on and off and ive checked the freon.
a shop told her it was the compressor and a leak in the manifold line? 1300 to fix. screw that. i dont know what line that is but i bought a used compressor and put it on and no luck.

so do you know there is no freon? also if it will kick on for a little while there is some freon in it or a switch is bad. there is a switch designed to not allow the compressor to kick on if there is not enough freon in it.
