if your rear wheels are more than an inch in diameter bigger than your fronts it will cause this to happen. your abs is really off.

Ya its the tire size I get the same thing with my MT 295/50 R16's if you measure them their about a 27.5" tall tire fronts should be about 26" tall. As stated above More than an inch difference sets the ABS INOP.

because the 315's are the same overall diameter as the 275s im assuming you had on the front. there are 2 ways to fix this. go back to a 275 or 315 on the back or get an abs delete kit

your ABS system will be completely off so just braking performance but other than that no

the revs per mile is way off. the rear is about 760 revs per mile while the front is 810

you cant go bigger 2% or smaller 3% or it will flag the abs...u can do the math for overall tire diameter like this

295 Tire size
x Times
.40 .A/R
x Times
2 2
/ divided by
25.4 25.4
+ Plus
18 Rim Diameter

so lets say for instance u have a 275/40/17 in the front and a 295/45/17 in the rear

your overall diameter of the front tires is 25.66"

your overall diameter of the rear tires is 27.45"

thats a pretty drastic diffrence..then u would have to do that math to see the actual percentage...hope that helps tho

VSS or vehicle speed sensor..senses the revs per mile on each individual wheel to activate abs and trac control

I currently have the same problem! I am sure because of the 373's gears I installed. But we are also talking about having taller tires would make this problem come up, but when I had 20" wheels, I never had this issue. ??????

does your 3rd brake light and or cruise control work? i also read that either 1 of those gone bad could set it off.

The ABS INOP issue has nothing to do with rear gear ratio, Also When you had 20" wheels I'm assuming you had 20"s on all for corners not just the back two right? So your wheels front to rear were all the same size and revolving at the same rate thats why you didnt have a problem.

Its only a problem when there is a difference in diameter between the front and rear. For example I measured my fronts at about 25.6 inches tall, and my rear tires at about 27.6 inches tall, doesn't sound like a big difference but when I measured the circumfrence of the tires the rears were like 8 inches longer around so their spinning at a slower rate than the fronts are and the individual wheel speed sensors sense that. Also your speedo will be on the slow side with bigger tires in back, I've verrified with gps that when the speedo is reading 60mph my actual speed is 68-69 mph...
