Default 370CI Street/Strip Build

I'm currently building a 370 for street/strip. I have some stuff I need to do on the top end but unfortunately the funds won't allow it. Any suggestions on this?

6.0L block
Bored 4.030
H Beam 6.125 Rods
Stock Crank
Mahle Pistons -2cc
.051 Head Gaskets
T-Rex cam
PRC Dual Valve Springs
7.400 Hardened Pushrods
Stock LS6 Heads (milled and smoothed just to be cleaned up and straightened)
LS6 Intake
P&P 78mm Throttle Body
42lbs SVO's
3600 PerformaBuilt converter
4.10 gears.
Car will be ran on a 100-150 shot occasionally

Any suggestions? Smaller cam? More stall? Etc..

id go with a tighter stall around 4000-4400 if you use the t-rex cam. looks good other then that should be over 400 wheel with the A4 and well over 500 on the jug.

Looking to be in at least the 10's with this set-up and something that sounds radical .

Why stock 243s? Are you dead set on the Trex? I'd go with some AFRs or TFS heads and match a cam to those. Then if you have some left over $$ pick up a FAST 90 or 92.

EDIT: I see the "funds won't allow it" statement now... guess that throws the heads and intake out LOL

Right now I just can't afford it. But since I was eventually going with some TEA's down the road and maybe a Victor Jr that this was the cam that sounded about right. But with the current set-up as of now I think that around a mid 23x duration and .60x lift would be about right...

might want to call Pat-g for a custom cam, only a few more bucks.

no matter what cam id still reccomend the same converter for max effort.

I've already talked to Pat G. Paypal'd him $25 to spec me a cam and I sent the Cam sheet. I'm just waiting on him to call or E-mail me with some information or whatever else he needs to know

I had a similar set up. I used diamond pistons and a ms3 cam. I made 445 on the motor and 613 on the bottle.

I was looking at the MS3 as well. I don't want to make this another Trex vs MS3 thread but I'd like some opinions on this and both cams seem to make good HP and TQ. I'm not worried a bit about idle I just love the hard lope to one . Anyone else with a 370 gone with a MS3 or T-rex and have any regrets? I plan on better heads and intake but that will have to be later down the road.
