I've seen good results with 3.55s in a ~3000 lbs car.

3.42-3.55 works good for most 6spd cars.

The real question is, why is it coming in so late at 3500?

exhuast?, coatings? wrap? quick spool? housing size?current gear ration, tire size, injectors, fuel delivery........etc etc.

Any one of those could effect the set up .....it wont do any good to gear it for 130 mph, if you dont have enough injector to make the power to go 130....People are telling you a gera to run, but dont know what gear you run now, or what tire, or what tire size? Lets see,,,,,,,,here is my blindfold, let put it on first.

I have in line an in tank 255 fuel pumps with 60lbs inj so that shouldn't be the problem it has the stock 342s now.... will 390s be to much?

you want a taller gear when you have a turbo to keep load on it and help spool quicker...

wrap the whole hot side and keep your gears if they're 3.42's or go to 3.23's

just wrapping the hot side will increase your spool time a decent amount

If that were the case, just start off in 6th gear. You should have lightning-quick spool like that!

3.23's work nice on the street for a properly setup turbo LS1 6-speed car, sweet mph from a roll too . Since its a sts rear mount i wouldnt go too high in gear (numerically) since it would kill it even more, i'd leave the 3.42's or lower in there. Nothing more than 3.55's like mentioned above for sure.
