Default Bakersfiled people come in, input needed

So I was hoping for a promotion and a move to Monterey, but it looks like they now need me to go to kern county. I would appreciate some input on the areas to stay away from, I have been looking at real estate up there and I should be able to use my VA loan to get a house that is very affordable.

Any suggestions of areas to stay away from would be greatly appreciated.

I would highly suggest the northwest/west area of town "Rosedale". That is generally where you find the nicer newer and older homes with quality shopping, food etc...

Other than that the southwest is good in most areas.

I would completely stay away from the central, east and south sides of town.

If you are looking for a ls1/performance shop to get know whats going on in the car circles here, feel free to come by my shop as we are the only late model / performance / tuning shop within about 100 miles. I Theres a few machine shop type places that deal with older stuff as well around here.

Yeah I know but I would be getting killer pay and housing up that way is freakin cheap. Plus I would end up being in charge of 2 other techs when they hire them.

Yeah I have seen you posting around here with stuff for sale, Thanks for the advice I will be trying to look in those areas now as I am more afraid of something happening to my car than anything.

If you could please let me know as well what are the dividing lines for the west/northwest area and such? Like what freeways/interstates seperate or any roads streets etc. Thanks

Frazier park is like a mountain rural town... I would recommend it for a "weekend" getaway cabin, but not a place Id want to live.
