Default What size stall should i get for my ta

Hello all I have a 1999 TA with a LS6 intake,P&P throttle body,SLP lid,Pacesetter LT headers, matching Y pipe (no cats) GMMG exhaust, msd wires and TR55 plugs, car runs strong but looking to put a good convertor in it. I hardly ever drive the car it goes to local shows/cruise nights etc. Plus I want to get to the track soon, so my question what is a good convertor? I was thinking of getting a yank 3600 stall but not sure, also what size should i get 9.5 in or bigger?

thanks

yank ss4000 gets my vote. Decent street manners and should cut low 1.6x 60's with your mods.

my car is pretty much somewhat a daily driver that never sees the track. i got a vigilante 3200 stall. very, very good for a daily driver. but i would definitely do a 3600. good all around size.

Go with nothing less than 3600 but a 4000 gets my vote.

I have a vig3200 in my current car and it hits nothing like my old ss4000. Its just as loose too.

i agree, you gonna need good tires to cut those times though. Stalls boil street tires.

An SRLS series billet 9.5" 3600 makes a great daily driver converter. A 4000 will make the car 60 ft better and et better but you will sacrifice some driveability. If you are going to spray in the future then I would go with the 3800 as this converter was designed for this. pm or call and I can help.

I think our Stage I Billet series converter is perfect. I suggest the 4C rating - 3600-3800. I will totally change the car, it will feel like an animal when you get on it.

5c in mine and I love it!! I just let TA1364 drive my car and he was surprised how well the driveability was for a converter that big...
People with other smaller converters tell me "man thats a huge stall"!! til they drive it and they cant believe how well it behaves...Seems like its a smaller converter, well thats until you nail it lol!! IT just pushes you back!! For me its the best of both worlds in this converter

The 5c was very streetable. Wouldnt have a problem DD it.
It seems pretty tight down low, curious how its going to be up top.

Really? Hmmm.... I had a Vig 3600 when my tranny blew and had it restalled to a 3200 for nitrous now. I was really curious about trying a Yank SS converter. I don't think my 3200 is loose at all.

I am in the middle of installing my Yank 3600 and cant wait to try it out. It should be a great all around performer from what i have read.

If i knew for sure my car was going to stay N/A, i would have opted for a yank ss4000 or similar, but i am toying with the idea of boost or juice so i am sticking with the 3600.

You might be surprised how the nitrous will loosen up your Vig. 3200. Depends on what size shot and where it comes on at, but that's the fun part. Playing with the jetting and the "on" point for the nitrous.

At first I'm going for a 100 wet shot via NX. Might up it from there if that 10.9 is close to being achievable.
