Default POwer steering reservor cap?

I have as my sig states a 6.0 swaped into a 1990 truck. I am only using two lines (out and in) from the power steering reservor. The third spot where a line would be ( the middle one) is bent back and capped with a thick vacuum cap. I tend to burst these every couple of months or so.

Is there a better way to cap this off so I can just forget about it?

I know I could have it welded but was hoping to not have to take it off, clean it and so forth.

Any sugestions?

Thanks,

how much room do you have before the hose barb? I'd suggest a compression to NPT fitting with an NPT cap.
