50K Service? What to look for?
Cars got ~ 47,000 miles, and I was going to get it serviced. Just ordered new pads and slotted rotors, and I was going to have my transmission flushed, rear end fluid changed out...I've been hearing a pretty annoying and persistent clunk/rattle from underneath my car when it's idling sometimes, and the power steering might be leaking..
Basically, what kind of problems have you guys run into around 50K, and what sort of maintenance would be wise to do at this point.

hmmm i would lube up your suspension, check the coolant, check/replace spark plugs, definitely check your alternator because my power steering pump was leaking too and it's right over the alternator so my alternator crapped out. hmmm I just woke up and that's all I can think of but im sure there is more to check.

lol. you might want to also check all the hoses and wires you can see for cracks or other damage. the mileage doesn't really matter cause they have still been sitting there a long time. make sure the air filter is still in good shape. oh and you might want to flush out the brake fluid and check those lines while the the new rotors and pads are going in

This is a good idea if you don't mind the extra feedback you WILL feel and hear in the car. They are cheap, like $30 cheap. Even Auto Zone carries em usually. The rubber tranny mounts absorb some of the vibration obviously, but they are prone to break easily, especially if you like to actually DRIVE the car. I broke two in a few month period.
Trans is also due for service at 50K if you're an Auto. The gear oil in the diff would be a good idea if you haven't done it yet too, uses 75W90 synthetic.
