Question Did anyone get torndown at the Southern Shootout?

Did anyone get torndown at the Southern Shootout if so, how far / details? (not looking for names)

What about weight enforcement for qualifying and between rounds?

I'm not trying to start anything, especially in light of since I was not there. Just curious as if, like a lot of races, the potential of the above kept people from pushing it too far.

Glad to hear that only from the respect that most folks would not be well prepared to do so (drove the cars vs. trailered, can't do it in their sleep like our Stock sportsman racers can, etc.).

I will say that if there was a teardown challenge at an LS1Tech event it will happen but the motor would be back together fast.

im thinking in a series like this, a teardown would consist of removing a valve cover and a spark plug(maybe a rocker arm). and id say everyone should know how to do that. plus, if you know you are racing at an event that could or will do a teardown, you better make sure you have the tools or a means of getting some or you just got dq'd and paid the teardown fee

Did you guys see Geoff's displacement measuring device? It was pretty cool. A tube that shows the actual cubic inches of air a cylinder pumps... No need for a teardown there.

Yep, Pumps are the only way to go. Every professional sanctioning body has them.
