stat is good fuses are good but still runs hot blows coolent out of oiverflow and fans don't work but they are good did a batt by-pass just to check.

I have same problem but, my fans are turning on.

I bought this car a couple of months ago. Don't know alot about the history.

During an hour and a half cruise today I reached destination and pulled into parking lot. When I did that I sat there to make a phone call. When I finished with the phone call I saw the check gauges light on. Noticed that the temperature gauge was almost pegged. While the car was running it ran at about 210 the whole way. I was running 80 mph in 6th and it was about 98 degrees outside. I immediately turned the heater on and brougth down the temperature. Two hours later I turned the car back on and it was at about 200 degrees still. At first I thought it was the fans not coming on but both are turning on. I drove the car home and everything was fine until we stopped for more than five minutes. The car would begin to overheat again. Until this day for the past couple of months I have had no problems with the car. When I got home I checked the coolant level and the resevior tank was dry and the radiator was low. I noticed that on the dip stick of the resevior tank was dried out glycol. The radiator took about 1 gallon of fluid. I turned the engine over and when I did coolant went everywhere. I think that my only problem was I was low on coolant.

My question is where did it go?

Oil- Clean no milkfroth.

Manual Transmission so no cooler lines running to the radiator

You might not have a t-stat in there.

As soon as you get low on coolant, it will just keep getting lower and lower. And hotter and hotter over time of course. The coolant is expelled out through the radiator cap from over-pressure in the system. It pushes the radiator cap open slightly, then the coolant escapes through the over-flow line into the over-flow tank. If you had alot of coolant in there it'll dry up over time too, so you won't find it wet in the over-flow tank.

That is what I was thinking. Was looking for someone to justify it for me.

I was thinking that when the system starts to get low it starts to build steam pressure going over the 18psi that the radiator cap is at. Once that happens its only a matter of time before the system goes to empty.

We are all systems go. No loss checked it yesterday morning and this morning.
