Default Questions before sway bar install

Hey, are there any torque settings I need to know for the front and rear sway bars on my 02 camaro SS? Including the end link and mounts. Second is there anything else I need to know or any mistakes someone has made? Thanks!

16ftlbs for the mounts and 18ftlbs for the endlinks. It's recommended that the suspension be loaded when you tighten the endlinks. Don't over tighten the endlinks, they're good when the bushings start to bulge.

Took me 1 1/2 hrs to do my front and rear UMI bars on Friday. Take your time and good luck.

Plain and simple: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=22

Just make sure you put grease on the bush, not the endlink. Depends on with kinda spring you've, you might need to cut the spacer little. I've 1.2" drop so I cut the spacer off 1".

For the rear, you might have to jack up a side a little to make the endlinks line up well. I had to the other day. Also the spacers given to you may not always be ideal depending on your ride height.

Just back/pull your car up on a good set of ramps. No need to pull the wheels!

The ramps aren't the problem. There isn't enough room to easily wrench cause the tire is tucked in really far

Good point!

Have you tried using some ratchet wrenches?

That's what I use which works great, but I have 18 x 9s so I've got more room.

my bolts didnt seem long enough so i had to use ratcheting tie down straps to pull the wheel up higher to get enough threads through the sleeve and bushing, washer, then get nut on

I assume you're talking about the end-links...would've been easier to just jack up the opposite side slightly. That's what I did and it worked fine.
