Tools & Fabrication - How to use Front/rear Alignment Cover

finally got to use my cover i made over the week end. so i thought i would right how to do it.
(mod, i dont know how to post full size pictures with text inbetween them. sorry)
Step 1.
clean off the front of block where cover sits. and the bottom of block where pan bolts down to.

Step 2
Start cover bolts and push cover back against block

Step 3
Start alignment bolts in block where pan bolts down

Step 4
Align cover bolts with alignment tool

Step 5
Torque block pan bolts to 18ft/lbs

Step 6
Snug the cover alignment bolt. Tight but not to tight. they need to beable to slide a little

Step 7
tighten up all cover bolts. then Torque down the cover bolts to 18ft/lb

Step 8
Remove the alignment bolts.
And there you go front cover is on.

Rear Cover
rear cover is the same as the front. but the two little bolts snug them. and when the pan goes on. they are only 106 in/lbs
