It is the wrong section, but you'll need a stall first

Now I wouldn’t go that far....Not yet anyway. upgraded dual springs, injectors, and some stock length hardened pushrods should be sufficient . A ls2 timing chain would be some assurance, and If your lifters have some miles on them, you might want to look into replacing them. Upgrade the pump when and if you decide to spray. A high stall T/C is definitely a must in my opinion. a set of low gears would really compliment that cam too…

No, the ms4 is too small you definately need a bigger cam with a stock motor. The bigger cam you get the faster your car is.. I keep several cams in my passenger seat and sometimes shove one down my pants, that seems to help, too.

I got the cam package from TSP along with the ported oil pump to be on the safe side. And like stated above: tunning, 4k+ stall, 4.10s are a must to get the most out of the MS4.

Definately a big stall & gear helps to get the MS4 in its power band quickly. The MS4 time & time again has shown itself to be the leader in max effort LS camshafts. I've done the testing back to back next to numerous other max effort LS camshafts that our competitors sell. I'll put the MS4 up against any competitors max effort camshaft!

That being said the MS4 is definately a max effort camshaft. You really need a healthy converter & big gear combo to make the MS4 camshaft shine. The torquer 3 camshaft would be another great camshaft to consider, it comes in earlier than the MS4 camshaft & still makes very good hp across the board.
