I got my ATI Damper installed (i think) and it doesn't quite look right to me. It seems like the hub should be closer to the front seal, but i might be wrong.
I made my own install tool out of some M16x2.0 all thread rod and some nuts/washers. The hub was heated a bit in boiling water and then installed. It went on FAIRLY smooth, although took some effort. Once it got to a certain point, about where it sits now, it just stopped going on. In fact, after i removed the hub and re-installed it, i bent the all thread rod in two places so now it is "S" shaped a tad :emb: Then, per ATI instructions, i re-installed the old crank bolt and torqued it to 240 ft. lbs. I removed the bolt and then installed the new ARP bolt with some red loc-tite and torqued it to 250 ft. lbs. The pictures below show it as it sits now. I know that for 100% stock parts, the crank snout should be ~.094"-.176" (or something like that, can't recall exactly off the top of my head) recessed in the hub. I completly forgot to measure it, but i know it's within (or damn close) to those specs BUT nothing about my setup is stock. It's a Callies crank and N Motion double roller timing setup with a Melling oil pump. Can anyone verify, based on my pictures, that it is installed correctly?
