Default Installing a ratchet shifter in a 93 A4...Need advice!

Hi All,

I know this has been discussed before, I did a search and found a lot of interesting things but I need some more advice/help, I have a 1993 Trans Am with the 700RA trans. What is the best ratchet shifter to buy to work in the factory A4 console? I want to keep my gear indicator, if possible...didn't really want to use the manual console if I didn't have to. What modifications need to be made to make the shifter work in the A4 console? Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated!

Does your trans have a full manual valve body??? If not I wouldnt put a ratchet shifter in. Looks wannabe racer if you ask me. If you really want to though the best shifter to use would be the B&M QuickSilver. I would recommend the B&M Pro Ratchet but Im not sure if you can get it with a 4 speed plate. As far as the indicator goes you would have to rig something up as neither one of these shifters have an indicator
