Default LS6 or LS2 intake for 5.3?

I see a lot of people using the ls6 intake for their conversions is there any reason why no one uses the ls2 intake? Thanks.

The LS2 intake doesn't flow as well as the LS6, even with the 90mm TB opening. The casting process makes the intake in 2 seperate pieces that get plastic welded together, and leaves lots or ridges and imperfections in the inside of the manifold.

The truck intake actually flow pretty good. All the truck guys stopped downing the LS6 swap because it wasn't worth the money for the small gain above 5800 rpm's. If you can fit the stock truck one I would keep it. Or look for a TBSS 90mm truck one they flow almost the same as the LS6.
