How many of you had to do BFH mod?

How many of you had to do BFH mod? I'm thinking of getting some 18x10.5 56mm offset deep dish c6z06 wheels with 295/35/18 in the back... I've done countless searches and read hundreds of posts and people who have had to do the BFH mod seem to be pretty split with them just plopping them on their cars with no fitment issues. I am also stock height. What was your experience and could someone give me more details on doing a BFH mod? I'm guessing you just hammer at the inside next to the braking system? Also on a side note I have some generic drilled and slotted rotors and stock studs, would the D&S rotors effects me doing this? I don't really know if they are wider than stock rotors (Got them from sponsor autopartsfirmonline.com). Thanks guys.

Oddly enough there are some differences as to how they fit from car to car let alone firebird to camaro. When you try to fit a wider tire you have less room to work with and you may have to BFH or roll fenders to make them work but it won't be a problem and I dont see D&S rotors effecting anything.
If you have to BFH you will see when you mount the wheel where it hits the bottom of the inside fender, also keep an eye on your bumpstop clearance and if you have to hammer use a big one and not a framing/tack hammer so it looks decent. Chances are at stock height they may very well just bolt right up!

I'm running 295/35x18 BFG's on the rear. The right side did rub occassionally when I hit a dip, but only if I had four people in the car. So I rolled the fenders with a pipe. Easy enough, and no further rub. I rolled the left side too, even though it had never hit.

i dont have 18's but run i run a sumitomo HTRZ 315/35/17 in the rear and i didnt have to do the BFH mod or roll my fenders and i have yet to rub from anything...

Ya I keep reading about these bumpstops, can someone please explain to me what a bumpstop is? What it looks like. Sorry for the newby wheel questions. I think I am just not familiar with the terminology.

I cut off my bump stop brackets, you prolly wont have to, and did the BFH, still had some rubbing when taking some corners but i adjusted my panhard bar, my car is dropped about 2"....either way you will know when you put them on what are's to tap in if need be

"bumpstops" or Jounce bumper, for ordering description is located right above the rear axle inboard of the tire and bolt to the undercarriage of the car. It is made out of a dense foam to keep the suspension from bottoming. With wide tires you want to make sure they clear the inner edge of the rim when the car is jacked up (suspension unloaded).

Here is mine with a set of FOOSE Legend 20" x 10" (7" backspacing) with 305/35/20 Nitto 555R tires on the back and 20" x 8.5"(6" backspacing) with 255/35/20 Nitto 555 in the front. Didn't know if they would fit, but all I had to do is hammer a little behind the inside front of the rear tire. I also rolled the rear fenders to make sure they would not hit the tire. Front fit perfect.

Yes they are a litte taller than what I had. I wanted to be different for a little while. 
To The Count:
It helps if you have access to a lift to check your clearance. I had 18 x 9.5 in wheels(6.75 backspacing) with 275/45/ZR18 tires on the back before. There was plenty of clearance with that combo. Your combo should work if you have at least a 7" of back space.
The height of the tire will also determin allot. My old ones were 26.5" tall. The new ones are 2" taller. That is the reason I had to massage the inside of the wheel well a little.
How tall are the 295/18 tires?
