Exclamation Engine Drop

Ok guys so my ls1 has a bad bottom end and im gonna be looking to buy a used long block in a couple of weeks once i save the money. My problem is taking my current block out and dropping my new one in. My current mechanic wants to charge me $1300 plus accessory fees for the drop. Any help or advise guys in the greater so cal area?? thx!

**** that... do it yourself in your garage, its easy as hell. motor comes easily out the top. get some of your ls1tech buddies to help you and with all the parts ready to go and assuming no snags like broken/stripped bolts it should take less than a weekend. save your 1300 and get your hands dirty
