Default should i trade my 2000 civic for a buddies 2000 gt?

After I totaled my ss I picked up a 2000civic sedan in decent shape for $1700 has 181k motor has around 100k. Stock with aftermarket 17" wheels pioneer speakers all round and a kenwood head unit. The mustang has some bullet wheels cai throttle body small stall 4.10's mid pipe and a catback has 80k motor has 1k. He is going to be going to school about 30 miles away and gas is gonna kill him so we where talking about trading his car for mine +$3k. Should I do it? If I do ill still get another ls1 a few months after I get the gt

I think that's a good upgrade. My wife has a 2000 Mustang GT. We have Bassani headers, X-pipe, and catback, BBK cold air intake and 70mm throttle body. It sounds awesome and has run a 13.50@106 with a crappy 2.28 60 foot time. While I don't like the driving position, it's not a bad car. I think it's a marked improvement over driving a Civic for sure!!!

Keep the honda for a DD. Use your $3500 on the next LS, rather than throwing it down the tubes.

Try to get him down to $2500 + your car. Make the trade and sell the Mustang for $6500. Buy something else.

I know where one is for sale already built and ready to go, heard it comes with free tuning on it as long as you own it.

i would keep the civic for a daily driver and use the other money you have to buy something else to tinker with... i like the body style of those mustangs but don't think i would ever own one unless it was an 03-04 cobra

That is a good idea right there as long as the Mustang is not a problem car.

It would be a lot cheaper to buy his then to try and build it. Go try your luck at Education First credit union by Lamar. They can give you a really good deal on a loan.

From a financial standpoint I say hell no, why trade your honda and enough money to gas it for years for a gas guzzling mustang?
