Default D1SC on my stock motor help

Hey guys,

First off, this is what I am working with.

I bought this used kit a month or so ago. I was going to rebuild the motor turn it into a 347 with AFR heads and stuff like that. (I still am).

But since I just bought another DD and I have this procharger setting in my garage floor, and a T/A for it to go on

I figured I would just put it on the stock motor and see what happens.

I have been told the stock motor will old, 8 psi? Correct? Well I dont want to scatter this motor so I would rather play it on the safe side and run 5-6 psi somewhere in the range.

This kit came with a 3.7" blower pulley, and it has the SDCE crank pulley (the smaller one)

What blower pulley do I need to run? And how much RWHP am I looking to net through a stock 10 bolt and a 6 speed? (yes I know, 9inch comes next)

I know I will need the following to put this on.

2bar SD tune
Injectors (doing overkill 60lbs, since I plan on pushing this D1 to the max with the new motor)
Fuel Pumps (2 walboro 255's correct?)
TR6 plugs

Anything else? I will be running a FMIC if it matters, and I PLAN on running meth once I rebuild the motor, but running on 91 octane will I need to run meth for my 5-6 psi goal at the moment? Or run meth and run 8 psi?

the 3.7" will make around 14 psi.....I would just put in two walbros with boost referenced regulator so you are ready for more boost. You don't need meth for 8psi with a large front mount, but it wouldn't be a bad idea....it will raise octane

I ran 575 rwhp with 10psi on stock motor and 10 bolt.....with meth

Rear broke 6 months later after a few 3rd gear dumps on highway, and motor lost a ringland after about a year.....tune was spot on and motor had really low mileage

Yeah I dont plan on even running the 3.7", basically ever lol..

What size pulley do I need to run 7-8psi? Do I not need injectors too for 7-8psi?

Yes I forgot about the regulator, thanks for reminding me.

How much RWHP with 7-8psi on a stock motor? With meth

I plan on running a 3.4" after I rebuild the motor.

I am running a stock headed forged 347 and I Am getting 12-13 psi with my 4.0 pulley and the SDCE kit. That is using the 7.25 in crank pulley IIRC. I have a 4.2 8 rib blower pulley which is the biggest blower pulley you can run on the F body set up with out really modifying your bracket that I can sell you for $50 shipped it you like. I made about 9 psi with that pulley

I make 580rwhp 550rwtq on 9psi no meth with a FMIC....its been running for over 30K now and is still holding strong. Other drivetrain componets are slowly eating crap though lol

Well the 4.2" pulley is the biggest pulley that SDCE offers with there kits. Also they do some trimming to the bracket to make things fit right

IMO all comes down to the tune. You can be safe or you can go all out. I doubt the stock rear is going to hold no matter what. I have a stock bottom end pushing 500 RWHP/450 RWTQ through a strong drivetrain. This is with a SAFE tune. I have heads, intake, cam, headers, ect. Keep it running a little rich, be conservative on the timing and don't turn the motor beyond 6700 rpm and you should get some decent numbers. Good luck.

3.4 is what I'm running with a stock balancer setup. I am getting 5 to 7 psi, however this is with the 6 rib setup, so there is some slippage.......trust me there is slippage even with low boost on a 6 rib setup!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
