Default Cat is Hitting Floorboard...what to do?

Hey,

I just had High Flow Cats welded into my ORY...the Driver side cat is hitting and rubbing against the floorboard during acceleration. I jammed some heater hose between the cat and floorboard and it seemed like it was helping a bit but its still thumping around. What should I do? Get it welded in a different location?

woo him out with a little cat nip lol some of the sponsers make a little hanger for the y pipe to keep it from hitting the floor, that may help. Your mounts may be wore out also. The heater hose with a clamp ran through it works good too

What's a cat?

Your mods make it look like you don't need to pass emissions, I'd say sell the cats but that's just my $.02

I'm tired of the gas smell so i got high flow cats welded on. they also make the car a lot quieter. the driver side cat is only 1/2 inch from the floorboard. when i accelerate i guess the y pipe twists and hits the floorboard.

Does the heater hose withstand the heat or do you wrap the pipe with some sort of header wrap first?

If it is not your mounts, there is a clamp per say that goes around the pipe and holds the pipe down under acceleration. I have one on my car and it changed Y-pipe from clunking on the driver floor board. There is a real name for, but I will have to look for it.

Here you go took a few minutes
