Default Should i change my head gasket??????

Im about to install my motor in my car. Built 347 with stage 2.5/5.3 heads and vindicator camshaft.. It also has 2cc lunati pistons. I have a pair of oem mls gaskets. Should i use those or what gaskets should i go with to get a better compression????

reguardlees i wouldnt reuse headgaskets if thats what your asking

nah, i have a new pair of factory mls gaskets. but i wanna know whats the thinest gaskets i can use without any issues

Cometic .040 if you can use the compression bump.

^^^^That was my first purchase before I had my heads even done.^^^

Stock Gaskets are for stock applications specially on the heads.

IMO I would use the stock gm gaskets. They are very robust. If not you can use the cometic, but keep in mind u have to measure the ptv clearence and if u dont know what u are doin u can screw everything up. The GM gaskets arn't that bad thats what I am using on my afr heads.

check the PTV clearances first to see how much room you have to work with, and then go from there. I bet a quick call up to Vengance will get you some answers pretty quick.
