Dont buy use, by new. Go to advance auto and buy a new one for around 60 buck, use this coupon for $10 off, I did use it 4 week ago when I bought my window motor.

It's really not bad, I did my drivers side in under an hour. Only snag I hit was breaking the little felt-tipped brackets that hold the glass in position at the top of the door.

Well if it wasn't done before and they didn't chew the **** out of the holes you should be fine. Whoever replaced the window motor before I had the car fucked it up royally. Oh and those felt tips scratched the **** out of my tint too. So make sure ya got those.

Most GM parts have a 12/12 warranty; meaning 12 months or 12k miles whichever comes first.

I think my regulator has gone bad because the motor makes noise but doesn't go up or down. Is there a way to just change the regulator?

99.999 % chance your regulator is fine. Check the attachment of the motor to the regulator. Often replacement motors are bolted in, come loose, and disengage the regulator.

The problem with the windows on these cars is that both motors don't get the power they need, they way they're wired from the factory. If you typically roll both windows down at the same time, the motors will die sooner than normal.

When I replaced my driver's side motor, I also installed one of these kits: http://www.autotrix.net/Product-Pass...Fix-Kit_1.aspx

The kit is basically a wiring harness that separates the motor circuits. You WILL notice a difference, so I highly recommend it if you've replaced more than one window motor. It's cheap & easy insurance for your motors.

do they make something for the drivers side?? the drivers side motor keeps going out this will be the 3rd time the passenger is the original one never had a problem

The kit fixes the problem on BOTH sides. It splits the circuit, and each motor gets the right amount of power, so both motors will last longer. You'll be amazed at how fast your windows roll down after you install the kit. Check some of the videos on the site.
