possible pushrod length issue...
I'm using PRC stage 2.5 5.3's milled from 62cc to 60cc (not much) with stock rockers and 7.4'' push rods. Will this work? Might end up using ls7 lifters also Anybody using this same setup? I would like to keep the push rods because there relatively new comp chromolly's would a set of adjustable rockers be a possible solution? thanks for any input.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking just figured maybe someone had same setup. Know of any decent adjustables for less than a grand? seems like there all up there besides those cheap looking stainless eBay's for 150.00 lol

nice just looked at some comp magnums on ebay I think you may have sealed the deal I guess I really didn't research enough lol haven't found the adjustable terra's yet what do those run?

On stud mounted adjustables, the pushrod length sets the wipe pattern and the lifter preload so having the correct length is even more critical. Set the rockers up correctly and measure, if you need new pushrods buy them. Why mess with things trying to save less then $200 for an excellent set of pushrods (standards are even less). You can always sell the 7.4's and recover some of the money.

Yeah someone else told me the same thing and said it could wear **** out really fast if the geometry wasn't right thanks for the input I'll probably get a set of push rods to fit and may still invest in a nice set of roller rockers.

you need to take into consideration that the LS7 lfters have a higher cup depth than stock lifters. This results in needing a shorter pushrod to maintain relatively stock preload. I think a 7.35 or even a shorter rod will increase valvetrain life, reduce valvetrain noise and give you better piece of mind than getting new rockers. However, the amount of recommended preload is debatable, but LS7 operate best with a preload between .06 to .09 or even .10 if you want. I hope this helps you a little.
