Default heads/cam etc... help me out

help me decide on a build. I need help picking a heads/cam combo and maybe a few other things...

here's the car: 88 Mazda RX7 swapped to a 99 LS1 & 4L60E(stage 2 performabuilt, 3500 stall) engine is all stock internally right now, has 114k on the clock. no EGR or AIR, intake has a cold air kit w/ 85mm truck MAF de-screened, and a ported TB. Exhaust is a pair of 1.75" shorty headers(its what I made fit), into mandrel bent 2.5" pipes, X-pipe, no cats, and ends with dynomax ultraflow 'turbo mufflers'. gears are 4.10:1. at the track it ran a best of 12.03 @ 113 on a 28x9 slick(I'll change to a 27 or 26 when these wear out).... that was untuned. I believe it weighs in the range of 2700-2800 lbs.

use: a streeter with occasional trips to the strip. It's not currently a daily driver, but might become one in the good months of the year if I change jobs. a job change might also bring about more track visits.

what I want: more power, more torque, yet still have a fairly smooth idle. goal is ~400+rwhp.

heads I'm considering: Patriot 5.3L, PRC 5.3L, and TSP LS6 stage 1.0.(trying to stick to a budget)

cams: something in the range of 224-230 duration @ .050 and lift @ .560-600 probably on a 114LSA for a better idle.

lifters: I plan to replace, but not sure which- LS7 lifters or CTSV lifters?

head gaskets: ???(haven't done any research yet)

rockers: change for harland sharp or yella terra? (again, just want reliability)

I'll be doing ARP rod bolts, LS6 oil pump, & a timing chain when I pull the engine.

I also have a few things already(on the shelf) but could change them out... these include 7.4 pushrods, a 222/228 .567 lift 113LSA Lunati voodoo cam(bought about 2 years ago, hastily) comp 918 springs(replaced by the recall) & ti retainers. was hoping for the new weiand intake to come out, but almost giving up... might go with a FAST or LS6.

what are your thoughts & why?

I'm leaning toward the PRC 5.3 heads w/ stock springs so I can use the comp 918's I have and not have to sell them. for the cam I'm leaning toward a patriot 226 or 225/229 or a TSP 228, and sell the one I have... IDK.

would I also need new injectors to match the setup? what size?

thanks for taking the time to read this far & reply if there's any more info you need, just ask.

I think we have a combo you'd really like! We're finishing up a brand new camshaft with 224 duration on the intake side! This camshaft can be paired with PRC LS6 heads for very good results. Honestly I think the LS6 head will be your best option because they flow great air & will grow with your mods if you decide to go bigger cubes down the road. I have engine dyno sheets comparing several 224 duration camshafts next to our newest camshaft we developed off our new engine dyno. Please give us a call & we can help you spec a nice combo to accomplish your goals!!

With either combo we can install your 918s & save you $$ on the spring kit!

thanks for the reply, i'll be calling eventually. It's not a huge priority for me to build it right now, and it may become the winter project....
