Safe Compression/boost on a stock LS1 bottom end?
What is a safe amount of boost on a stock LS1 bottom end?
e.g. if 8 psi is safe for 10.0:1, what amount of boost is safe for 10.5:1, 11.0:1, etc? Assumed Vortec S/C with intercooler, no meth or alky.

You ask a loaded question. Boost can be safer with a much richer AFR, but not make any more power. Also, you speak of a mass-produced motor. Some were built on Mondays by guys with hangovers, and some were built by God on a wednesday afternoon. People have blown up stock motors with less than 400hp, and people have made over 900hp without problem.

Really..... I have never heard of anyone making 900hp, even flywheel hp, on a stock bottom motor.
If you want to play it safe, get a set of 317 heads. They are cheap enough, a head swap is pretty straight forward, and a good tune will allow you to run 8 to 10 pounds of boost safely on a stock bottom motor.
