Help me identify a GM Hot Cam
Hi, Anybody who has seen or has currently a GM Hot Cam I need your help:
I bought a GM Hot cam locally to put in my GTO and ended up putting in a TR 224 instead mostly because of recommendation here and other forums. Anyway I sold the Hot Cam on ebay last week and the buyer just sent me a message and said it is not a Hot Cam because the numbers are etched and not stamped on the end of the cam. No other information to support his conclusion.
Here's the pictures of the cam.
Ingore the box, it was the box from the cam that replaced the Hot Cam.
I live only a few miles from the guy I bought it from, we talked a bunch and he even asked me to bring the car over once it was installed. I knew the part number of the Hot Cam is 12480033 so I looked for this when I bought it. The number "033" is etched on the end (see picture).
Please anyone with experience (not opinions please) tell me how your Hot Cam was identified. Thanks.
