Default BMR K member

Is it okay to weld motor mounts onto a BMR k member that was set up for a motor plate? I'm thinking not a big deal, have to grind off the powdercoating.

Not sure on teh BMR (even though I would see no difference) but the AJE stuff I have used, you can do that.

I don't see why not. Just look @ how a BMR k member is done with and without the mounts, and copy that.

I asked BMR that specific question when I got my K-member and they said it was OK...

Wish I could have chimed in earlier, the worst part is that it needs to be powder coated again.

Sorry to bump up and old-ish thread but my question is just about the same as the OP's.

Who could I have weld on some solid motor mounts to one of these K-Members? I already e-mailed BMR about making me a turbo K-Member with solid motor mounts and they said that they wouldn't do it.
