Default sleeved ls1 block

ok i have a sleeved ls1 block im told the sleeves are the thickest ones available not sure on brand of sleeves etc the bore is 4.005 im planning on running a vortech v7 ysi on 14 psi l98 ported heads and a 232 238 cam a mates car ideatical setup with a iron block made a tad under 500rwkw will the sleeves ls1 alloy block be strong enough it also has billet steel main caps and all arp studs etc

Pic would be nice but if the engine builder does every thing right your fine. stock sleeves alum blocks have been in the 1000rwhp range. I would just make sure the main caps are pined

havent got pictures of the block the machine work on the engine is absolute top notch he told me that it should be fine up to 900 to 1000 horse power at the crank so hopefully it will be ok

i have seen allot of horror stories with people re sleeving their ls1 blocks, most of them just dropped sleeves. make sure your builder will stand behind his work.

thats on old dry sleeves. mid darton sleeves dont drop. most people get bad experiences becasue they take it to a shp that dosnt know what they are doing. its like telling a mechanic to sit behind a desk all day.

got some more info on the sleeves the bottom of the water galleries are filled with hard block
