Default strut tower brace

my car had one when i bought it and im thinking its probably pointless for drag racing. am i right? if so its coming off, it looks dumb and its in the way.

For drag racing, it does nothing. Adds weight over the motor. BUT for street use or Auto-x, it def has advantages.

Pretty much. The idea is to prevent the strut towers from flexing together under lateral stress. If you're just going straight, you don't need that.
